The design of this container house with its furniture combines industrial design and architecture. After researching previous modern forms of container houses and through a sketching process, I developed a shape for each floor of the house itself and its furniture based on the letter “C”. Therefore, I named this project “Project C-Design.”
The product is designed with a minimal usable space for two people. Therefore, the result is also minimal power consumption, which is the most important environmental issue nowadays. The energy use of this mobile house is green. A sufficient area of solar cells and a wind turbine can provide the necessary electricity.
In terms of shape and structure, this container house has the similar design basis as existing copies. However, it was designed in a new style during the design process. Because of the architectural shape as well as fulfilling the mechanical rotation from the second floor, a central column carries the entire weight of the building. The relaxing bedroom and study creates an attractive space for its inhabitants. Walls, ceiling and floor are printed with material concrete composite by 3D printer.
